Schlegel was founded in 1945 and was responsible for the creation of the first terminal block prototype. From then on we have made great strides within the automated industry providing reliable products and knowledge to our clients.
From injection molding to milling, we perform as much manufacturing and product testing in-house to ensure Schlegel's build quality.

About us: Company Origin
Founded in 1945, by Georg Schlegel an engineer who already had his own electrical installation business in 1925. Schlegel was the first company to create the prototype for a terminal block in 1950. Shortly after came the development of Schlegel's first pushbuttons and switches in 1952.
Today we export to more than 80 countries on all five continents providing a portfolio of more than 12,000 products: Development and production of control units, panel mount jacks, RFID, bus systems, enclosures, terminal blocks, pedal switches, limit switches, and customized solutions.

"Made by Schlegel“ is inseparably linked to the hallmark "Made in Germany“. Following this principle, our products are made all throughout Germany (Schlegel manufactures exclusively in Germany within Dürmentingen and Leipzig), from the development and toolmaking to the final production. We source only the highest quality raw materials the market has to offer with our in-house production ensuring the consistency of high-quality within our products.
We distinguish ourselves through a very high range of vertical integration; with most of the manufacturing being performed in-house. This allows us to be flexible and self-reliant particularly when it comes to meeting the requirements of our individual clients. For example Schlegel's extensive knowledge in the implementation of customized products and requirements based on the requirements of each application.
The quality policy at Schlegel is rounded off by many years of experience in dealing with quality management according to ISO 9001-2015.
